West Liberty, 20 miles east of Iowa City, is not a typical Iowa farm town. With a large hispanic population, West Liberty is home to authentic Mexican restaurants, the Strand Theater, weekly stock car races, a cooperative turkey processing plant and the West Liberty School District.
