RIVERSIDE

Riverside, a small town just off Highway 218 south of Iowa City, is best known as the future birthplace of the Star Trek's Capt. James T. Kirk. Every year, the town swells with Trekkies for the Trekfest. A model of the Starship Enterprise sits year-round in Legion Park. Amenities such as health care and shopping are easily reached in the Iowa City/Coralville area. Children in the area attend the Highland Community School District.
