As
the largest community college in the state of Iowa
and the fourth largest institution of higher education
in the state, Kirkwood Community College, boasts over
100 credit degree programs and 600 continuing education
courses per term at its more than 130 locations in
Iowa.
The main campus is located on the southern edge of
Cedar Rapids near the I-380 and Highway 30 intersection,
and includes twenty-six buildings. With 555 full-time
faculty and staff, the college commits itself to providing
accessible, quality education and training to its
students.
In addition to the main campus, Kirkwood Community
College branches itself out through the rest of the
state with thirteen additional college centers, of
which the Iowa City Center is included. The Iowa City
Center is located at 1816 Lower Muscatine Road, Iowa
City, IA 52240.
Kirkwood Community College is accredited by the North
Central Association of Colleges and schools. It offers
an Associate of Arts degree and 15 Associate of Science/Career
Option programs. Coursework and credit hours are are
transferable to four-year institutions and other colleges.
