ARTS & SCIENCES

Students in the Arts and Sciences at Kirkwood can earn an Associate of Arts or an Associate of Science degree. These degrees are the equivalent of the first two years of study required by four-year colleges, and they include the general education course work you need to complete before concentrating on your major. Course work can then be transferred to a four-year institution.

The Associate of Arts degree is for the student whose goal is a Bachelor of Arts degree in a liberal arts major. The following are the core requirements for graduation.

The Associate of Science degree is for the student whose goal is a Bachelor of Science degree (any major with stronger mathematics/science requirements such as nursing or engineering). Requirements for the Associate of Science degree are:
