Severe Weather Warning System
The sirens of the Iowa City Severe Weather Warning System will sound continuously for three minutes following issuance of a tornado warning by the Johnson County Sheriff's Office. The system is tested for 15 seconds at 9 a.m. the first Monday of each month.

Hours: The transit system operates every half hour between 6 a.m.-9 a.m. and 3 p.m.-6:30 p.m. Monday-Friday, and hourly between 9 a.m.-3 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.-10:30 p.m. Monday-Friday, and hourly all day Saturday from 6 a.m.-7 p.m. There is also a free shuttle which serves the east side of downtown from 7:30 a.m.-6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Cambus
Free service provided by the University of Iowa. Covers campus and downtown with nine fixed routes. A late night service, SafeRide, operates Friday and Saturday nights during the fall and spring semesters from 10:30 p.m.-2:30 a.m.
