Expansion Management Magazine ranks Iowa City the fifth-best metro area in the country for business expansions and relocations.

Des Moines ranks No. 1 and Cedar Rapids No. 12, according to the recently released study.

The magazine based its rankings of 331 metropolitan statistical areas on how communities ranked in six categories: public education, college-educated workers, health care costs,quality of life, logistics and infrastructure, and taxes and spending.
