Hartsock
William L. Hartsock and Blanche A. Donham are celebrating
seventy years of marriage. They were united in marriage
August 1, 1934. Their families lived as neighbors and
friends in rural Johnson County, S.E. of Iowa City. They
both attended and graduated from University High. The
year 1934 was a bleak year in many ways, but love was
destined to bring two people together in marriage. Bill
and Blanche made their home in rural Iowa City where they
farmed. Later, Bill worked for Gray's Hardware and then
Lenoch and Cilek Hardware. Bill and Blanche are the loving
parents of David Hartsock and wife Shirlene of rural Glenwood,
MO.; Deanna and husband Leo Fuhrmeister of rural Iowa
City; Donna Volk and the late Mike Volk of Iowa City;
and the late Beth Hartsock of Iowa City. They have 9 grandchildren,
19 great-grandchildren and 1 great, great-grandchild.
They are a living testament of true love. Their sharing
of love and marriage has been an ongoing example for their
children and grandchildren to live by. Cards and well

time is spent enjoying family and friends.

Feldick
Harley G. and Norma D. Feldick of Coralville will celebrate
their 60th wedding anniversary with an Open House on August
1st from 4-7 pm at the River Community Church in Iowa
City. Harley Feldick and the former Norma Dietz were married
August 11, 1944 in Iowa City. Their children are: Dr.
Barbara Risius of Lyndhurst, Ohio, Mark (Tricia) Feldick
of Coralville and Virginia (Carl) Hampton of Angier, N.C.
They have 3 grandsons.
Miller
Butch and Phyllis Miller of Iowa City celebrated their
40th wedding anniversary with a week at the X-Caret in
the Riveria Maya. Butch Miller and Phyllis Woode were
married July 5, 1964. Their children are: Martie and Kevin
Fleming of Jackson, MI; Steve and Julie Miller of North
Liberty; and Nick Miller of Iowa City. Their grandchildren
are Ian and Amalie Fleming; Megan and Ella Miller.
Barnes
Jerry and Judy Barnes of Iowa City will celebrate their
25th wedding anniversary. Jerry Barnes and the former
Judy Waldschmidt were married July 28, 1979 at St. Mary's
Catholic Church in Riverside. The couples' children are:
Nathaniel, Joel, Christina, Nicholas, Cody, Zachary and
Katilynn, all of Iowa City. They have 1 grandchild, Emily,
also of Iowa City. They will be celebrating with a family
dinner and vacation to St. Louis at a later date.

Ed and Jane O'Brien of Iowa City will celebrate their
40th wedding anniversary.
